From welcoming audiences and wrangling artists to making sure the magic actually happens on the ground, our volunteers are the heartbeat of the festival. You bring energy, curiosity, generosity, and the kind of behind-the-scenes brilliance that turns a good idea into a living, breathing Fringe.

By volunteering, you’re not just helping out

You’re becoming part of a creative, slightly chaotic, deeply joyful community. We are a Fringe Family. We want you to have fun, support each other and our patrons, and feel like this is your fringe. Your festival. Something you come back to year after year. Help us to mould and build this experience to be the best it can be. 

We’re endlessly grateful you’re here and ready to jump in.

Some of the possible roles you could fill:

• Box Office - selling tickets to shows

• Info Booth - handing out program guides, answering general questions about the festival, providing directions to venues via our venue map, selling Fringe merchandise

• Venue Lead, Venue Door, Venue Usher - staffing our venues before and during the performances

• Tech assistant - supporting artists and stage managers with performances

• Audience Surveys - mingling with our patrons outside of shows

• Bartender, Concessions - at our special events and Festival After-Parties!

But wait – there are perks!

Of course there are. Free shows, free swag, after-parties (including the closing night party), plus snacks, meals, and special volunteer appreciation events. We want to smother you.

But mostly, we want you to be proud to be a Yukon Fringe volunteer.
